Happy New Year! Here's the post you've all been waiting for: my annual curious Inside FFM Blog review and hopeful first outlook Post #WoopWoop
The review with outlook, if you will, with a little test about the current status, if possible and necessary like the question about the current traffic situation in Frankfurt. I'm not looking back for the sake of looking, but to relive amusing aspects (soccer in June people, does anyone want to know? ;-)) or to note outstanding exciting things for this year already.
And don't worry, I won't come around the corner with fitness ideas for January. Modern training ideas are in Frankfurt the whole year over: with the own body weight at the Main sweating and blowing or 1a cared for with the Physiotherapeuten. Everything to have.
Kurios appears to me May, because surprisingly often food tips were thereby. Was I that hungry that much? Probably the great weather made it easier for me to stay outside than inside and eat too.
Human, what I must have been depressed about last January. I remember that the winter was quite long grey-covered and at some point I began to point the hand. How else is the post to explain Frankfurt's ugly places.
Well, in my defense I may add that I haven't forgotten the most beautiful ones :-)
In February the thought must simply be allowed whether Frankfurt really can and is romantic at all, Valentine's Day criticism back and forth. How romantic is Frankfurt?
The traffic is moving us all. Car, Bicycle and Co. are wrestling with each other and the city is pondering solutions after the Multi-Cycle Route Initiative has collected enough votes.
Because April was also a harbinger for the hot summer, I of course jumped on the newly opened ice cream manufactory at the Mainufer and tested selflessly for you. Have I already mentioned that I really love my job? ;-)
Also in the following month of May there was a lot to do with eating. What can I say, it often tastes so good in Frankfurt, don't you think? The waffles of the Dutch department store HEMA are a treat.
I'd rather leave the cloak of embarrassingly touched silence alone and turn to the July question for the Frankfurt feelingabout the football thing in June. I don't know if you guys feel the same way. But sometimes the city and everything gets on my nerves. When I'm out of town and look at the skyline on my return, every grief is immediately forgotten.
To this day my personal favourite post is still from August 2018, when I introduced the most urban corner of Frankfurt: the Allerheiligenviertel plus cool pop-up bar.
A milestone for our phenomenal city was 2018: Altstadt, Altstadt, Altstadt - is that a success, or what? I think that especially during the Christmas market it became apparent how seamlessly the new old town with its phenomenal underground station fits into the urban fabric. The old town doesn't leave anyone cold.
In November Frankfurt really showed Berlin - To this day, guests who danced to the opening of the Pop-up Stores by MARCELL VON BERLIN to the dolls still rave about the hot party atmosphere in Goethestraße.
And while the Zeil in December let us stroll almost completely in the dark, we relied on our beloved Berger Street as well as on private initiatives that spread solemn mood .
New Year's Eve I have sunk, danced etc. etc. because of my dog on the home couch. Anyway, there was enough time for a lot of decent music from the 80s - actually I started the new year with a pretty good playlist.
And in this context discovered that one of the musical icons of the time, Alison Moyet, was coming to Batschkapp this month. So, fans of the great singer - you know what you have to do! Maybe I'll see you there?
What was your outstanding post 2018? What are you looking forward to 2019?
