Departure into September, and I mean that literally! Because at the airport the Besucherterrasse has opened some time ago. One of the most popular excursion destinations in the Rhine-Main region has been available again since the summer holidays. The visitor terrace is bigger, has a really chic new flooring and pretty seats - partly under shady pavilions, partly in the sun. But really the very best: Thanks to a throw-over protection, which is provided with cut-outs for photographs, the terrace can now be entered without a security check. Sounds exciting, doesn't it? I would like to go there right away to see the cutouts!
An ideal addition to the visitor to the terrace is a Airport tour, which can be booked directly on site. My personal favorite would be the sunset tour: lights and sunset. To experience this special atmosphere of the airport in the evening hours with its many lights at the runways is surely unique. (120 minutes) But plane-spotting works just as well. In Frankfurt the spotters like to meet at the A5, but also at many other locations.
I deliberately don't say scout now because it sounds like “tense-tight-looking through the hedge“. ;-)
Where we're on tour, however, we're drawn to Darmstadt right away. Why Darmstadt now? Because there on 17 September on the occasion of the exhibition »CHIC! Fashion in the 17th century« a »museum night of costumes« of the most imaginative takes place: How about a selfie action for men in the style of baroque beard and hairstyle fashion? Conceived by the local TU. But which woman rather asks herself which man suits her is found in the fashion chat with piano accompaniment under the motto »Benjamin, I have‘nothing to wear’n or which man is dressing for the woman’. Whether lovers of the anti-striptease or friends of the pretzels in the animal kingdom, the organizers have simply amusingly thought of everything. So just go to Darmstadt.
