Hessenwoche: Everything has to go - space for something new

How did you spend the so-called „Hessenwoche“? On vacation? Skiing? Very good. I was at home and really deserved the three weeks vacation before it starts again next Monday.

But don't think that I was lolling around. Okay, maybe a little. But I used the Hessenwoche, which got its name missed because Hessen is the only federal state to generously allow itself winter holidays, to get out of the way.

Yes, everything has to get out. Jungfraulich, clean, empty and fine like 2019 presents itself now my storeroom, wardrobe and the cellar.

I have mucked out. But one or the other of you also seem to have come up with the original idea. Just after New Year's Eve, the glasses are disposed of.

Walk with the tree, here with the bargains

Christmas trees are now collected extensively. Yesterday the tree service fed its shredder with the fir trees that were stored at the Saalburgallee in Bornheim. How and where to best dispose of your tree I had already described to you in the first post of the new year. How the Weihnachtsbaumentsorgung runs exactly, read you at the best directly here.

And of the Sale only at all not to talk! Did you get hold of anything fine? Some stores have reduced goods by 50 or 70 percent by February. I'm not a crazy shopper in front of the gentleman now. But this year not everything is supposed to go well, but maybe a little bit better and therefore my stock of tinsel and garlands for Christmas 2019 is already now stocked up.

Hessenwoche: Freizeit, Penguine und Reiseplanung

Jetzt however again briefly to the Hessenwoche, which causes some turmoil and makes the minds boil. Why does Hessen have three weeks off? The FAZ complained that free time would drag on grey and cruel. And why is this the case here? It's like always: You don't know anything exact. But no matter, I think it's wonderful!

How do you start the New Year? In my calendar come all birthdays of friends and families. The travel planning is also at the top!!! Especially in January I live like in an intermediate world: Spontaneously doing something in Frankfurt is great like visiting the zoo.

Have I already told you that the zoo is one of the main attractions of the city? That it's the ideal place for a relaxed afternoon? No. Then you know now. I find it very exciting that nineteen chic penguins have just moved into my favourite animal enclosure. This is the fresh year: Everything has to go to make room for something new!

How do you like Hessenwoche? When are you sorting out?
