Modern training ideas: Fit and healthy in Frankfurt

Late summer is here, with temperatures reaching 29 degrees and casual rain at just under 15. That's when the question slowly arises for us sports fans who want to stay fit and healthy: Outdoors or indoors? Or outdoor or indoor, to stay in the jargon of the modern age.

I know from a reliable source ;-) that the very frisky among you do not shy away from the winter cold and arrange with personal trainers for circuit training in the park. I think that's good. Not exercising at this time of year, oh no. But those kinds of workouts. Circuit training is the best thing I've experienced since high school (when I thought it was dumb). But more on that in a moment.

Monday evening I was at the Osthafen. Directly at the foot of the ECB, it is wonderful to watch the sun go down on the meadow. Including "Ah "s and "Oh "s. All around, people were lifting and exercising so much that it was just a joy, while I was munching sushi on the blanket.

In the current weather, it is of course really great to move outside and use only your own body weight - known as <link https: www.frankfurt-tipp.de insidefrankfurt s shopping _blank>"Calisthenics". It's dead easy to do on the equipment around "Harbor Park" and prevents me from finding excuses to avoid the sport. I can do something outdoors or indoors to stay fit and healthy: whether on a piece of equipment outside in the harbour park, a park bench on the Main or even in my armchair at home.

I don't know about you. But when it comes to sports and exercise, I can't help but mention the famous pig dog. Well, since my Lhasa Apso dog lives with me, the pig dog has moved out. Now it's out in all weathers. That toughens you up, I tell you! No colds for at least two years - good luck keeping it that way. But I digress and actually want to tell you what great workout gets me excited and motivated like no other.

Fit? Healthy? When the bastard doesn't stand a chance

Although I like gyms, love to jog and practice yoga, none of that has ever excited me like vibration training in a small studio. What that is exactly and what it feels like <link https: oceanblue-style.com schwingungstraining-frankfurt _blank>I've described it before here. Just very briefly, it basically involves performing circuit training exercises on a vibrating machine under supervision in very small groups. It makes the muscles happy, I tell ya. :-)

But whether indoors or outdoors, the main thing is exercise - don't you think? The <link http: www.beactive-frankfurt.de _blank>European Week of Sports "BeActive" in Frankfurt offers support for this. The good idea behind it: No more excuses. Just get going. The week of sports helps to find workouts that are not only fun, but also simply make you healthier and fitter. For me, swinging workouts have helped with that. If you're not at all sure which sport suits you, <link https: www.frankfurt-tipp.de insidefrankfurt s shopping frankfurt-frisch-fit-froehlich-welcher-sport-passt-zu-mir.html _blank>take the fitness check. Or have you already found a sport where the bastard doesn't stand a chance?
