Summer means well with us now again. Not that I wanted to complain about the snuggly 25 degrees of the last few weeks in any way. Who doesn?t like to sit at the Main, over an iced coffee and let a warm breeze blow over them in the shade?
On the last weekend of August the predictions are bombastic. Who doesn't want to party outside and be happy? Art, for instance. At the Museumsuferfest. It is regarded as one of the highlights of the Frankfurt festivals and attracts around three million visitors over three days.
However, a visit is also worthwhile, as the organisers have come up with some ideas as always: from the Holbeinsteg the festival mile runs along eight kilometres to the Ignaz-Bubis-Bridge on both sides of our Main.
A cultural spectacle in a class of its own: from the self-presentations of the museums to stage projections as well as projects and productions such as „Klang Im Kloster“, cabaret and live music. And don't forget: The dragon boat race on the Main River and the final fireworks display.
The Batschkapp celebrates its fortieth anniversary. Comedy comes with its own stage. The Frankfurt clubs take care of sport and adventure. And the Philippines introduce themselves at the Frankfurt Music Stage with a colourful programme that makes you want to go on holiday!
If you don't find yourself here yet, the delicacies from all over the world will surely satisfy your palate. And don't forget: keep your holiday spirit alive, because Sunday is open for business from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.! And at the latest since the caricature of Grezer and Lenz in the F.A.Z. of 25 August, we know what kind of hamster purchases women tend to make. Little tip: starts with Sch**** and ends with *uhen“ ;-) But dancing on the Main is best barefoot anyway!
Too much partying? We can always help him in Frankfurt: You can relax with yoga over the rooftops of the city on Sunday from 9.30 a.m. , and then get fit for Monday! ;-)
