Nearly 14 days left and then there's a state of emergency again: some rumbles (Five tips for soccer-fans), but most don't want to miss anything when Germany starts in Russia to defend the world championship title from June 14th. Today I have to come to you with an old wisdom from the world of football, which says that the round has to be square. This is just as certain as the fact that soccer watching alone is rarely fun.
For me, the motto here is: Shared suffering is half suffering and shared joy is double joy.
But by joint soccer watching I don't mean staring at a huge screen on one of Frankfurt's squares in droves. If you like that, go ahead. I, on the other hand, prefer to fever in a beer garden or in a pub: A manageable number of people, plus tasty food and drinks - can there be anything better? Provided the right team wins the game at the end ;-)
Football watching in the pub: hand cheese, mood and tasty beer
I've been watching football at home for a while. And what can I say? That was totally off. The atmosphere was completely different, I didn't know where to put my excitement. Because I care, I'm excited by the free end of the quote. Or I canalize my nervousness by cleaning up in the booth, which is not the peak of sociability now. So I rather watch football with friends and acquaintances in an atmospheric pub.
Five pubs to watch football
„Irish Pub/ Obere Berger Straße“, 60385 Frankfurt - Of course there is no way around the beloved classic “Irish Pub“ and Bornheim. For the Soccer World Cup, the entire upper Berger street is transformed into a single soccer mile. Kneipe lines up to Kneipe with urigen framework windows, into which landlords place broad screens.
„Birmingham Pub“, Battonnstrasse 50, 60311 Frankfurt - the nice Pub and beautiful atmosphere offers international meals. I'm a vegetarian, but I've been expressly confirmed by connoisseurs that there should be really tasty curry sausage in this cosy pub. :-)
The North high two, Sandweg, Frankfurt. Well, hüstel, football fans from northern Germany have been a little shaken since the relegation of HSV. But atmospherically the North German enclave on the Main leaves nothing to be desired for all lovers of the German coast and the Frisian. The bar is full of details like sailor pictures and serves Astra beer.
Depot 1899, Textorstraße, 60594 Frankfurt. What a scenery in the former tram depot in Sachsenhausen. Typical Frankfurt cuisine in a casual atmosphere and beautiful ambience!
Backstage, Rothschildallee 36, 60389 Frankfurt - Do I have to say more about the regular pub of Frankfurter Eintracht, the current winner of the DFB Cup? Here you can watch football, Schnitzel, Rock ‚n‘ Roll.
You'll find more locations here. Whatever pub you're looking at, don't forget to make your reservation!! And if you haven't heard anything from the Football-Jackett yet, you can read it on Frankfurt-Tipp Aktuelles mehr dazu.
What do you think belongs to watching football? Where do you like to look?
