Help, my wardrobe bursts. Where do I put everything I really need to get out? For example, because it is no longer portable - okay, the simplest solution for that is the garbage. But what about things that are still wearable, but meanwhile unloved?
There may be people - do you belong to them? - who regularly sort out their cabinets in a disciplined manner and even create Excel lists for them. Don't ask! I spotted it on blogs. I'm definitely not one of them. But sooner or later, the 30-year-old jacket must finally get out. The wrong purchase from the last row may also go.
The whole subject of throwing away is a huge one. We find order guidebooks in the net at all corners and ends. B ...

Peng, another new Pop-up Store. But not just any, no no. But I'd like to know.
Have you always wondered what these pop-up locations are all about? What's the attraction?
November is quite exciting when I look at what has suddenly appeared in our city.
This is the essence of a pop-up store: the temporary operation in a vacant business space. But it must not only be about fashion.
Recently in summer we had the Cool evening location in the Allerheiligenviert, the Yard. Short-term and temporary. The advantage: surfaces can be used, exciting ideas converted, trends be tested out.
Very funny I find that we had a Kreppel Pop UP in Frankfurt at the beginning of the year even…in ti ...

What did you spend the last week with? I have dedicated myself to a very annoying task: the change of season in the wardrobe. Well, there are supposed to be people (no gender clichés now ;-)) who don't need that. But a little inventory won't hurt. So I then discovered a top-nice weather jacket of my husband while clearing out in the storeroom. Unfortunately the zipper was badly processed. Goodbye jacket. A new one is needed.
Lately I've been going shopping “offline“ a lot more often, to say the least. What 1. is due to my acquaintances who always want to shop in Frankfurt when they visit me. (I'll send them the print guide with the top tips from Frankfurt-Tipp :-), the ...

What was that like for a November? I almost forgot to light the first light on the Advent wreath. Luckily I can blame Versace, Jil and Linda for this.
Because Frankfurt isn't just Full of Christmas stalls including a jacky tree ;-) (Have you ever seen the fir tree in Düsseldorf?) There is also a lot going on. And where I am right now at Düsseldorf. The city on the Rhine is considered a fashion city. Just like Munich or of course our slightly boastful capital. Yes, even Hamburg has modem-wise some publishers to show.
Only Frankfurt seems to stick to its financial image. From time to time advertisers complain, the site could calmly present more with broad chest in the countr ...

Today we descend from the rooftops of the city and plunge into summer fun: the great thing about it? Whether rain or sun, inside or outside, there is something for every taste. Frankfurt is still very much in vogue this month. Exhibition organizers, creative people and artists have come up with something new so that we can be entertained. Asking fashion designers into museums is the latest fashion: whether Dries van Noten in Antwerp or Alexander McQueen and Yohi Yamamoto in London. Now Frankfurt is not a fashion city? Yes, we can only make money :-) Anyone who allows Milan or Paris as the only standard can continue to believe the cliché.
We walk into the Modern Museum to admire t ...

I don't know if it's springtime. However, the fashion scene in Frankfurt has been growing strongly for a long time, as have lovers: whether it's shopping opportunities, creative shops or fashion designers. There's something going on in our town on the Main. So it's time for a current overview:
Last Saturday Sabine Schmitt, owner of "Apfelgrün Zum Anziehen", invited visitors to the Logenhaus: five international designers, including Marianna Déri from Frankfurt, presented stylish and wearable collections for adult women. The collections on show ranged from elegant business fashion to edgy ensembles and feminine wrap-around dresses, eliciting "Ahs" and "Ohs" from the large audiences ...

Okay that the first candle is lit on the Advent wreath, lights up homely every evening and warms your heart. Gradually the gifts that still have to be packed are piling up at home and the next Christmas market appointment is already waiting. All well and good! But this weekend there is a date in the city that no person interested in fashion can miss: already For the ninth time the Stilblüten are organising their festival for fashion and design in the Mercedes-Benz Fahrzeughalle on Hanauer Landstraße, turning Frankfurt into a fashion Mecca.
In addition to local fashion designers such as "Coco Lores", the label for feminine and elegant office fashion, exhibitors include numerous de ...

Yes, it's true, November has lived up to its dull reputation for the first two weeks. But in the middle of the month Frankfurt attracts with activities that can only make you feel good:
1. What do Frankfurters love more than their Main? The skyline, isn't it? This also seems to have been my favourite museum, the DAM (German Architecture Museum), which just opened the promising exhibition "HIMMELSTÜRMEND Hochhausstadt Frankfurt 8 November 2014 - 19 April 2015". How and why did Frankfurt grow into heaven? The exhibition addresses this question and offers an overview of the city's skyscraper history: from the reconstruction after 1945 to the house war in the Westend to the present ti ...
