This year's tribute is dedicated to the Oscar winner Giuseppe Tornatore, who will attend the opening of the festival on Saturday, 29. November, his cinematic declaration of love to the cinema, NUOVO CINEMA PARADISO (IT/FR 1988), in person at the cinema of the German Film Museum. On Sunday, 30 November, director Edoardo Winspeare will be a guest with his film IN GRAZIA DI DIO (A New Life, IT 2014), set in Puglia and shot mainly with amateur actors. Ottavia Nicolini, the Frankfurt based daughter of architect Renato Nicolini, will be present at the presentation of SACRO GRA (Italy 2013, R: Gianfranco Rosi). Her father was significantly involved in the preparatory work for SACRO GRA, which is documented in this evening's supporting film, TANTI FUTURI POSSIBILE (IT 2012. R: Gianfranco Rosi).
