Perfectly located between Hauptwache and Goethehaus is the Café Karin. Over 25 years ago, the popular Café was founded to primarily attract a student audience. In the course of time, however, the clientele has mixed more and more, because the feel-good charm of the Cafés has not remained undiscovered. As a result, it is of course already well filled on a regular basis shortly after the opening. An oasis of calm is the Café not exactly. And yet, as a guest you can relax pleasantly and slow down for a few moments - and enjoy a delicious breakfast at the same time.
The various breakfast variations are named after Frankfurt's districts. In "Bornheim", for example, there is a bread basket with salami, ham, cheese, cream cheese and egg, while "Ostend" has dedicated itself entirely to cheese. To the bread basket there are here Gouda, Leerdamer, Camembert, cream cheese and goat cheese. The somewhat larger breakfast hunger is best satisfied in the "Nordend": ham, turkey breast, salami, camembert, an egg and juice are served here with the bread basket. Alternatively, there is also a vegetarian version of this breakfast. A total of eight "district" breakfasts as well as a children's breakfast are on the menu. It can also be selected from various extras. Homemade Birchermüsli, fruit salad, homemade banana quark or sandwiches are on offer.
Very nice is the decision to have your own jam buffet. For 0,50 € the guest can choose and dose the suitable spread from a good selection of different jams. A beautiful idea, which underlines the charming character of the Cafés. It is also special that also late risers can enjoy the breakfast. Breakfast is served here until 6 p.m. on request. But there is also a small selection of other dishes, such as salads, a club sandwich, soups or farm omelettes, which make a visit to the Café Karin worthwhile not only in the morning hours.
