German Gastronomy Award 2017 in the category "Beverage"
Congratulations to the restaurateur and DJ Julian Smith and his team: Chinaski received the 23rd Warsteiner Gastronomy Award in the category "Beverage". "With an extraordinary ambience, constantly changing DJ sounds, cocktail variations and exclusive wines, Smith creates a guarantor for happy and satisfied guests who can enjoy very special evenings there," was the jury's verdict. Anyone who has ever been in the "urban living room" near Opernplatz will only be able to agree with the verdict.
The large wall graffiti, the decorative designer furniture, the impressive bar - all of this radiates a mixture between cosiness and business, between art and naturalness. The concept "No Bar, No Disco" is just as well received by the guests as by the jury of the German Gastronomy Award. On the one hand, you can end a strenuous working day comfortably here or celebrate a great party on the weekend. And the small, somewhat more intimate tribute bar can even be rented for quiet tastings, birthdays and other celebrations. The Chinsaki is always good for a surprise and offers a really extraordinary atmosphere. But also the smooth DJ sounds, the changing cocktail menu, the well-assorted wine list or the selection of rum, scotch, whisky or gin underline the good reputation of the Chinaski. Have a look at this excellent location yourself.

The new category "Music": "With its variety of concepts and premises, the Club Haubentaucher offers its guests an incredibly wide range of entertainment," said the jury. Jan Denecke, Daniel Lente and Azar Moorad from the Berlin Kiez hot spot Haubentaucher were honoured not only for the location, but also for their gastronomic versatility and the implementation of new ideas and concepts.
