About two years ago, Ramen Jun, the first European branch of the Ramen restaurants so successful in Tokyo, opened at the fair. The high standards that have made RAMEN JUN so successful in Japan have probably also been met by Managing Director Hiroyuki Kurosu at the Frankfurt trade fair and the international trade fair audience. In a very short time RAMEN JUN has become one of the top addresses for Japanese cuisine in Frankfurt. Now there is a second branch with the RAMEN JUN RED in the Fahrgasse near the Konstablerwache. In the middle of the city you can now enjoy the delicious noodle soup.
Ramen originally comes from China, but has changed greatly over time due to influences from Japanese cuisine and in its familiar form is one of the very special favourite dishes of the Japanese. In Germany, we like to associate the term ramen with instant noodles, which can be bought at the supermarket for little money. But these bag soups have little in common with the ramen you get in Japan in ramen restaurants or at small street stalls. Only the broth, which consists of meat, fish, seaweed and vegetables, is a real pleasure. Each ramen chef has his own recipe, so there is a very wide range of variations of this dish.
The offer in RAMEN JUN RED is a little bit different than in the branch in Westend. But in the city, ramen is also at the centre of the map. Beside some appetizers and Donburi dishes there are ramen with different inlays and varying degrees of spiciness. The broth tastes very powerful and spicy, the homemade pasta is a pleasure and also the tender pork or vegetables ensure that the taste buds are tickled in a very pleasant way. The portions are neat, which in combination with the good ingredients that you can actually taste out, absolutely justifies the price of a portion.
The team around Hiroyuki Kurosu is interested in offering their guests the most authentic ramen enjoyment possible. This of course includes not only the recipes, the right ingredients and the perfect preparation - all this is guaranteed - but also that the guest feels comfortable during his visit. The appealing ambience of the RAMEN JUN RED and the extremely friendly operation ensure that this is actually the case. So if you want to enjoy really good ramen in a friendly ambience, you should definitely stop by here.
