Regardless of whether the sun is shining or whether it is raining, those who pass by Wackers Kaffee's head office at Kornmarkt 9 at noon regularly see a long queue of people waiting there. The time it takes until you can take the coffee home with you or drink it freshly brewed on the spot is all too gladly accepted by the customers. Because the name Wacker has always stood for quality beyond the city limits - and it's also worth waiting for in our "To go" company.
1914 Luise Wacker, then just 26, opened her own delicatessen shop with her own coffee roastery. After the two world wars, she continued this in 1955 with the opening of the main store at Kornmarkt, which still exists today and has hardly changed since then as a memento of Luise Wacker. Wacker is a true family brand whose tradition is continued from generation to generation. The principle of Luise Wacker, who always saw in her clientele "Her Majesty, the customer" to whom only first-class quality could be offered, has remained valid to this day. And people appreciate that. The fact that the rustic main building in the city centre, with just 80 square metres, is very small and quickly overcrowded does not really bother anyone. Somehow this is almost part of the real Wacker experience.
At our own roasting plant in Fechenheim and at the four branches in Frankfurt, customer proximity and the high quality standard of the coffee are of paramount importance. Fair trade is very important when it comes to beans. When they arrive in Frankfurt, they are always roasted fresh using the traditional long-term roasting method. And that's what you taste. Convince yourself and simply take a look at the Kornmarkt in the main building or alternatively a little more leisurely in the Mittelweg, the largest Wackers Café, which has been serving guests in Nordend since 1995, in the Café at the Uhrtürmchen on Bergerstraße, in the Café opened in 2008 in the Riedbergzentrum or on Glauburgstraße. And you'll soon realize why Wacker coffee is a real Frankfurt original that we don't want to miss anymore.
