Gustav disappears without a trace during a ski trip with his school class. Weeks of uncertainty and hope pass until the parents admit themselves: Gustav won't be back. Together they search for a new everyday life, a new life - until one day there is a knock at the front door...
In a surrealistic way Brattberg observes the state of mind of the parents in their different phases of the mourning process - with all its repetitions and reversals; while the sound of the game constantly oscillates between tragedy and farce, thus exploring the border zones in dealing with death and grief in a happy and success-oriented society.
