Café Karin - One of the first breakfast addresses in town

Category: Cafes & Bistros

Perfectly located between Hauptwache and Goethehaus is the Café Karin. Over 25 years ago, the popular Café was founded to attract primarily a student crowd. Over time, however, the clientele has become more and more mixed, as the Cafés feel-good charm has not gone undetected. The result, of course, is that it is actually regularly packed shortly after opening. An oasis of calm is the Café not exactly. And yet, as a guest here, you can relax pleasantly and decelerate for a few moments - while still enjoying a delicious breakfast.

The different breakfast variations are named after Frankfurt districts. Bornheim", for example, offers a bread basket with salami, ham, cheese, cream cheese and egg, while "Ostend" is dedicated entirely to cheese. The bread basket is accompanied by Gouda, Leerdamer, Camembert, cream cheese and goat cheese. The somewhat larger breakfast appetite is best satisfied in the "Nordend": ham, turkey breast, salami, Camembert, an egg and juice are available here with the bread basket. A vegetarian version of this breakfast is also available. A total of eight "district" breakfasts, as well as a children's breakfast, are on the menu. But you can also choose from various extras. Homemade Birchermüsli, fruit salad, homemade banana curd or even sandwiches are on offer.

Very nice is the decision to provide its own jam buffet. For 0,50 <x>Ampersand</x>euro; the guest can choose from a decent selection of different types of jam the appropriate spread and dose themselves. A nice idea that underlines the charming character of Cafés. It is also special that late risers can also enjoy breakfast. Until 18 o'clock in each case the breakfast is dished up here on request. But there is also a small selection of other dishes, such as salads, a club sandwich, soups or farmer omelettes, which make a visit to Café Karin worthwhile not only in the morning hours.
