If you enter the Bohnerie on Eschersheimer Landstraße, you will not only notice the intense smell of freshly roasted coffee. The view of jute sacks filled with raw beans and the large roasting machine also make it clear that this is not a simple café. Of course, one also meets here to enjoy a cup of good coffee, a piece of cake or another little delicacy. But the Bohnerie wants to offer their guests something more.
For owner Rawa Amin it was quite clear that Frankfurt doesn't really need another café. He sees himself more as a coffee ambassador who wants to give his visitors a whole new approach to the subject. When Amin moved to Frankfurt about two and a half years ago for love, it was clear to him that he also wanted to use this new beginning professionally to do something he really cares about. Then the trained barista came up with the idea of a roasting salon in which the guests would not only be offered delicious coffee enjoyment. There should be transparency here, which should intensify interest in the coffee and promote exchange. Questions around the roasting process, the origin of the beans and the like are expressly desired.
This does not only exchange information. It also creates a very familiar, relaxed atmosphere, which is intensified by the music and the interior. You simply feel at home here and - this is the most important thing - whatever you get served in the cups or on the plate is prepared with obvious craftsmanship and tastes really good. Those who want to use this beautiful atmosphere not only for the evening or the lunch break will find a public workspace on the upper floor of the Röstsalon, which can also be reserved for larger groups.
With his concept Rawa Amin was not only able to convince those responsible for the location tender. Many of his customers have also become regular customers in the first few months. Whether simply for a cup of coffee, a small lunch snack (the quiches are particularly popular) or a delicious piece of cake, if you are simply looking for a nice break from everyday stress and want to forget the hustle and bustle for a few moments, this is the place for you. And for everyone who loves really good coffee, the floor polisher is a must anyway! Be sure to check it out!
