EatDOORI - Indian Street Food in Frankfurt

EatDOORI - Indian Street Food in Frankfurt

Category: Restaurants

eatDOORI, the Indian Street Kitchen shop on Kaiserstraße, has got reinforcements in Nordend. The shop on Oeder Weg, which used to offer baked goods and sweet treats from La Maison du Pain, is now home to exotic flavours and authentic delights that simply melt in your mouth. Founded by three college friends, eatDOORI was inspired by a trip to India to bring authentic Indian street food to Germany and add a modern twist. This goes down well with the guests, which is why the second eatDOORI branch in the Nordend is now following the shop in the Bahnhofsviertel. The ambience here also follows the style of the first store, which makes for a very special urban industrial atmosphere.

But it's not just the interior of eatDOORI that makes a visit to either store an experience. The culinary offer is also very versatile and offers with its selection of curries, salads, tandori and side dishes actually just the right thing for every taste. There are also purely vegetarian dishes on the extensive menu, which you can have explained in more detail by the friendly staff. This is especially helpful if you are not so familiar with Indian cuisine.

As a starter, we tried Papri Chaat (wheat chips topped with chickpeas, potatoes, yogurt, pomegranate seeds, mint coriander and tamarind chutney), and the Singh's Wings (chicken wings marinated in a honey-ginger marinade and sautéed with scallions) during our visit to Oeder Weg. Next on the menu were Ginger Chilli Prawns (prawns in a ginger chilli marinade). The prawns were fried to perfection and the marinade gave them a very special kick. But a real recommendation is also the Naanwich with Chicken Tikka: Pleasantly spicy and juicy - simply delicious!

At eatDOORI it is worthwhile to just try it. Here you can discover completely new spice variations and exciting flavour combinations with which you can really spoil your palate. If you want to get to know a different kind of Indian cuisine, you should definitely visit the Bahnhofsviertel or the Nordend. It is worth it!
