Only a few meters from the Opernplatz you will find the ideal place to enjoy a good beer and delicious specialties of the German cuisine. As soon as you enter the traditional brewery bar "Zum Bitburger" it becomes clear that stylish but also very sociable cosiness prevails here. The carved wall panelling and the predominantly warm colours of the interior emphasise this impression, as does the very friendly and attentive service offered here. Well known far beyond the city limits is "Zum Bitburger" for its freshly tapped beer. No wonder, since beer tapping has been a tradition here for almost 3 decades. The beer is tapped in three stages to ensure that both the delicious freshly kegged taste and the appetizing head of froth can develop perfectly. It is served at approx. 5.8 °C. It doesn't get better than that!

But not only the thirst is tastily quenched at "Zum Bitburger". Also against the small or bigger hunger there is exactly the right medicine. The cooking is home-style cooking, which is freshly prepared here daily from 11:30 am. Whether smaller dishes such as goulash soup with farmer's bread, sausage salad with cheese strips and fried potatoes or shrimp pans, or the snack plate with Frankfurt appetizers (bung cheese, hand cheese tartar, mead and homemade sausage with farmer's bread) or classics such as Leberkäse with fried egg and fried potatoes - here you can simply taste that only fresh ingredients and a lot of love are used for cooking.</Especially popular are also the various schnitzel variations. In addition to the classic Frankfurt Schnitzel with green sauce and crispy fried potatoes, the in-house Bitburger Krüstchen - a small breaded schnitzel with fried egg on toasted farmhouse bread with coleslaw - is highly recommended. And for those who are really hungry, the Frankfurter Platte (from 2 persons) with pork schnitzel, fried sausages, meat loaf and knuckle of suckling pig with sauerkraut and fried potatoes is recommended. In addition, the changing menu of the day includes seasonal delicacies such as goose breast with red cabbage and potato dumplings (from 11.11.2020).
