On the first and second weekends of Advent, Langen's old town around the town church offers a magical pre-Christmas setting. The scent of cinnamon, chestnuts and roasted almonds floats over the Wilhelm-Leuschner-Platz and attracts guests to the Langen Christmas Market.
On the way through the wintry shopping streets, shining stars hang and make facades and shop windows shine in the Christmas glow of lights. Numerous wooden stalls stand around the Vierröhrenbrunnen fountain. Advent decorations, spices, fir greenery, beeswax and gingerbread provide the right Advent mood and festive flair.
The Langen Christmas Market tempts visitors to stroll, enjoy and shop with colourful offerings ranging from glass art, figures made of colourful mosaic stones, knitwear and handicrafts, to spices, tea, sweets, jam and cookies made in-house. Guests enjoy hot mulled wine from rustic ceramic mugs. And what is not to be missed in Langen is the traditional apple wine for which the region is famous. Unlike the annual Ebbelwoifest in the summer, you drink the noble Stöffche in the cold season hot and steaming.
