Online city portal Frankfurt-Tipp.de celebrates 15th anniversary with relaunch

Frankfurt - The online city portal Frankfurt-Tipp.de celebrates its 15th birthday this year - and the publisher, Trifels Verlag GmbH, gave a big present to mark the occasion: as of now, the tip and event portal shines in brand-new Responsive Design. New areas such as a large calendar of events for Frankfurt and the region, as well as the "News" area, further expand the website's information offering. The Frankfurt-Tipp.de community can also rejoice: loyal readers can take part in the new Frankfurt-Tipp.de annual prize draw and have the chance to win many high-quality prizes.

15 years of Frankfurt-Tipp
Frankfurt-Tipp.de is celebrating its 15th birthday - making it one of Frankfurt's oldest online city portals. In 2001, the chairman of the management board of Trifels Verlag, Michael Meckel, had the idea to have a website designed as a new information medium for Frankfurt: "Trifels Verlag has been firmly rooted in Frankfurt for more than 70 years - just like most of our employees. Those who live and work here have a special view of the city and what it has to offer. We want to share this fund of knowledge with other Frankfurt residents and visitors," says Meckel.
The medium's particular strength is its affiliated social media channels. So far, more than 50,000 people from the region have marked the Facebook page of the city medium with "Like". In addition, Frankfurt-Tipp also uses the Twitter, Instagram and YouTube channels. Editor Sebastian Betzold has accompanied the development of Frankfurt-Tipp from the very beginning: "Working for Frankfurt-Tipp.de is exciting every day. In our contributions we always try to do justice to our community and offer real added value: From us, the people of Frankfurt find out what's going on in the city."
To date, the online presence of Frankfurt-Tipp, which is also home to the lifestyle blog InSideFFM, among others, has established itself as a tip provider.

Relaunch of Frankfurt-Tipp.de in Responsive Design and with new content
Over the past 15 years, the Frankfurt-Tipp.de website has undergone a few major overhauls. "For an online medium, constant change is essential. We want to offer the user a user interface that is state of the art. For a long time now, online content has no longer been consumed purely via desktop PCs, but is increasingly being accessed on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. We have consistently included this in the programming of our relaunch. The entire site is designed in Responsive Design and adapts to all devices," says Björn Fritsch, Head of Marketing at Trifels Verlag.
In terms of content, the Frankfurt-Tipp.de team has also implemented a number of enhancements in the latest relaunch. These include an extensive events section for Frankfurt and the region, the news section and themed specials, which are adapted by the editorial team depending on the current occasion or season.

The main topics of enjoyment and leisure are now also displayed even more centrally on the site and have been re-categorised so that Frankfurt residents and tourists can get to the most popular content even faster.
Whether for restaurants, Cafés and bistros, fast and slow food - gourmets will find many useful tips for going out on the site. In addition, Frank Jerger, a Frankfurt whisky connoisseur, has recently started blogging regularly with lots of insider tips about the drink.
The leisure section includes tips about nightlife in Frankfurt and the region, as well as the best sights and exhibitions. In addition, the editors reveal their absolute favorite places here.

Annual competition started
As a thank you to the Frankfurt-Tipp.de companions, the Frankfurt-Tipp.de editorial team started an annual competition in October. Here the participants have the chance to win a prize in every quarter of the year. The team was able to win many prize sponsors for this. At the end of the competition, all participants will be entered into a draw for a top prize: A hotel stay in Wennigstedt on Sylt, provided by Dertour. In addition, Frankfurt-Tipp.de will be raffling off a winter surprise package with Bembel in the fourth quarter of 2016 together with the Possmann wine press company.
At the beginning of next year, the ticket portal ADTicket will be providing show tickets for Frankfurt's Tigerpalast to the quarterly winners. From April to June, users have the chance to win a Hessian gift package from kaufhausHESSEN worth 200 euros. In the third quarter, the winner will receive a merchandise voucher worth 400 euros from Galeria Kaufhof at Frankfurt's Hauptwache. Participation is possible online on the Frankfurt-Tipp.de website, by e-mail and also by post.
