After an exhausting day at work and the no less strenuous way home in the crowded subway, I like to retire to the "Garden of Heavenly Peace" in Bethmannpark for a few relaxing minutes. Although it lies directly on the busy Friedberger, the Chinese Garden can almost completely ignore the hustle and bustle of the big city. My favorite place is the little waterfall. If one sits here in the small niche and listens to the sound of the water, one really quickly comes to rest.
As soon as it is a bit warmer, I sat down in the pavilion with a view of the pond. Reading a good book here or just enjoying the view and observing other visitors to the garden is just beautiful. Here I am always in a good mood even after really annoying days.
After visiting the garden, I often stroll through the Bethmannpark, which is a real oasis in summer and in no way inferior to the big parks. So my tip for all those who want to escape the stress of everyday life: Off to Nordend and the Chinese Garden.
