18th Newcomers Festival at Römer - Lord Mayor says 'Welcome to Frankfurt'

(ffm) Those who are new to Frankfurt and want to know what the city and its surroundings have to offer can get an overview on Sunday, September 9, from 1 to 6 pm at the Römer: On this day, the Frankfurt Newcomers Festival will take place for the 18th time. At 2 p.m., City Councillor Claus Möbius will welcome guests to the free information fair.

Frankfurt is a steadily growing city, with over 60,000 people moving in each year. Many of them have an international background. "With the Newcomers Festival, we want to welcome everyone who is new to Frankfurt and offer them the opportunity to find out about the Frankfurt Rhine-Main Metropolitan Region and its many offers and opportunities," says Lord Mayor Peter Feldmann.

According to organizer David Hart of Communication Solution GmbH, interest remains high. "We expect 60 exhibitors and around 5000 visitors," he predicts. Companies, non-profit organisations as well as state and municipal institutions will present themselves. In addition to service providers, international schools and clubs as well as museums and tourism associations will be in the Römerhallen. The city of Frankfurt is represented by numerous offices, so that the international newcomers can inform themselves about the most diverse topics, for example about cultural and sport offers. Dance and music performances by international groups will take place on a stage in the Römerhöfchen.

All visitors to the festival will receive a free copy of the Newcomers Guide. The English-language publication offers practical information and helpful addresses for living and working in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main region.

The event is supported by the City of Frankfurt am Main, the State of Hesse and the FrankfurtRhineMain Regional Association. Information on the Newcomers Festival can be found on the Internet at <link http: www.newcomers-festival.de _blank>Http://www.newcomers-festival.de
