For the now 12th time, the "Oscar of German Marketing" was awarded at a glittering gala at the Alte Oper on Saturday evening. The "Golden Brandeisen" awarded by the Marketing Club is one of the most important marketing awards in Germany, which is why the who's who of the industry came to the metropolis on the Main again this year to honour exceptional achievements in brand management. At an excellent gala dinner and framed by a first-class show program, the coveted award was then also presented.
The 2017 "Golden Brand Iron" goes to the drugstore chain dm. Claudio Montanini, head of the Marketing Club, was pleased to present the award to Christoph Werner, honouring a marketing concept that has made this chain so successful and an important employer, not only in Germany.
Next to the "Golden Brandeisen", the young talent award, the "Goldene Sprungfeder", has also been presented at the gala since 2015. This year, the award went to the Frankfurt-based company Cargo Steps, which has succeeded in establishing itself in the highly competitive logistics market in a short space of time. Congratulations!
In addition to the dinner, the 500 guests were treated to the entertaining presentation of mental magician Nicolai Friedrich, whose skills repeatedly caused amazement and enthusiasm among those present. Another highlight was the big brand quiz, where even seasoned industry experts were able to see their heads spinning. All in all, it was a glittering evening that more than deserved the name gala.
