CLOTHES MAKE PEOPLE goes to lofty heights

Frankfurt is booming, and has been for years. More and more people are coming to Frankfurt am Main, not only to live in this city, but also as business travelers and tourists. A lot has to be built for this, be it living space for families or for visitors and business people. A new 7-storey hotel is also being built on Hanauer Landstraße, at the back of the Frankfurt Economic Development building. Construction started in October 2017 and the project is expected to be completed in Q1 2020. Due to the nice weather conditions, work can be done continuously so far this year. Robin Sinemli (28) is a crane operator and has been employed by Adolf Lupp since the beginning of 2016. He is responsible for transporting heavy loads such as precast concrete parts, fresh concrete or wood from the storage yard to the work site on the floors. The crane can pull up to 6 tons of material at the front and up to 3.35 tons at the rear end. At a height of 33 metres is his workplace, a crane operator's cabin, where he works in hot, rainy or cold weather to supply the construction workers with materials. The climb alone takes three minutes and is exhausting. He has no fear of heights - only when he made the climb to the cab for the very first time - he felt a little plummy.

"Safety always comes first, if there is heavy rain, snowfall or a lot of wind, I have to stop my work," Sinemli says. At the photo shoot for "Kleider machen Leute", he slipped into a chic corduroy suit by tailor Stephan Görner and had a lot of fun being photographed by Angela Kropp and Matthias Czeikowitz. "I was delighted when the request came from Sven Müller, this is something out of the ordinary and I'm happy to participate for that. In addition, I also have a wonderful view of the Frankfurt skyline," says the crane operator happily. In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball and putting on music in his living room. He only wears suits on special occasions, such as weddings, christenings or birthday parties. Now he has one more nice suit.
