Last Saturday another successful edition of the popular Green Sauce Festival came to an end. Again the participants gave everything to surprise and inspire more than 5.000 sauce testers with their green sauces. Altogether from 49 green sauces first 7 evening winners and on Saturday then the winner 2019 were selected. When Fabiana Jarma won with Cocina Argentina on the 2nd evening of the festival and immediately put a tango on the stage with her partner, the ambitions were great to give everything again on the final evening. And so, once again, 50 litres of green sauce were prepared with much love and passion to convince the audience. And that's what Cocina Argentina did and on a great final evening they were able to beat the other evening winners, the Junior Chefs Germany, the Pantry, the Bornheimer Ratskeller, the BBS Himmelthal, the Restaurant Prager Botschaft and the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof.
The Green Sauce Festival 2019 took place for the 12th time. Not only does the 12 stand for perfection, unity and completeness in the European flag, but unified, the goal is tirelessly pursued: Green sauce for everyone and everywhere! The festival's creator, Anton Le Goff, was also always anxious to convey this feeling of community and passion for the green sauce during the moderation of the evening shows. Always at his side was Timo Becker, who had already eaten his way through the sauces of the school classes of the young talent competition three weeks before the festival and whose final took place on Saturday at noon in the big festival tent. A total of 54 school classes took part and started with their sauce. The preliminary decision of the finalists took place at different cultural locations in and around Frankfurt (Nature School, Palmengarten, Saalburg, Film Museum, Schifffahrt, Dottenfelder Hof). At the finale on Saturday the supporting programme was supported by the Landesjugendjazzorchester.

And of course the two gentlemen got support from the indestructible festival herb again: the Hilde from Bornheim. With fleshy slogans, a meat sausage with a low putty content and a heart on the right spot, the Wetterau plant was ready again for a week full of semolina sauce. Together, the trio welcomed 49 herbalists and top-class artists every evening on the show stage - with charm, wit and plenty of green sauce.
On the market - accompanying the festival - the motto was “Green Sauce of Cultures“ to enjoy the culinary diversity of the Main metropolis at 27 market stalls. lovers of the classic green sauce with eggs and potatoes got their money's worth as well as friends of the international cuisine, d.h. fiery variations with Argentine beef or Sicilian arancini, from oriental to Caribbean, from crepes, wraps and fresh salmon to Omi’s potato pancake - the green sauce on this market the gastronomic world star!
The Frankfurt-Tipp also congratulates the first place winners and of course Cocina Argentina, who won the votes of the festival audience for their Green Sauce as the 1st International Green Sauce in 12 years.
