Dancing deep into the night, singing along to every song, enjoying the good mood. The Kempinski Hotel Frankfurt has old party times revived in the Torschänke: Every first Friday of the month it becomes a disco tavern. From 22:00, the rustic restaurant is transformed into a dance location for the Ü40 generation, where DJ Raffa plays hits from the 1970s and 80s. The first party will take place on 1 March.
A disco in the Torschänke revives a tradition: In the 1980s, the historic building was the home of the ”stable”, where dance-loving audiences met several times a week to celebrate. The stable was considered an institution in the Rhine-Main region. “With the disco tavern we want to tie in with these old times”, explains hotel manager Karina Ansos. „People are still raving about the parties in the stable today, and I am sure that the atmosphere in the discos will be at least as good.”
The drinks menu is based on the time: Green Witch, Tequila Sunrise, Cuba Libre and Co. As a little refreshment during dance breaks there are tapas for EUR 5 from the Torschänkenküche. “The disco tavern for guests ‚Ü40‘ is planned, but of course dance lovers of all ages are welcome”, says Karina Ansos. Admission is free.
