The victory against FC Internazionale Milano has provided fans of Frankfurter Eintracht, but of course also the team itself great joy. This paved the way for the quarter-finals of the European Cup - for the first time in 24 years. The team can be absolutely proud of this. Now the question was, who will Eintracht meet in the next game? The next round of the UEFA Europa League took place on Friday at 1 pm in Nyon, Switzerland. And now one thing is certain: The eagle bearers will have to deal with SL Benfica on April 11 and 18. Axel Hellmann, legal advisor Philipp Reschke and board consultant Rainer Falkenhain were present at the draw for the unanimity. It was played by Dutchman Pierre van Hooijdonk, who won the UEFA Cup once before (2002), and the first match will take place in Lisbon on 11 April. The big decision will be made on 18 April at home in the Commerzbank Arena - both games will start at 9 pm. Let's hope that there will be plenty of reason to celebrate on the night of April 19th! By the way, a victory would mean that Eintracht would face the winner of the match between SK Slavia Praha and Chelsea FC in the semi-finals. Then the first game would be played in Frankfurt.
UEFA Europa League Home Game against SL Benfica sold out
Like all previous home matches in the UEFA Europa League, Eintracht Frankfurt can also play in the quarter-finals against Portugal's top club SL Benfica in a sold-out Commerzbank Arena. All Blind Date passes that were offered for the entire knockout round up to a possible semi-final are sold out. Therefore, no further tickets are available for the match against the 36-time Portuguese Champion, which will take place on April 18, 2019 in the Frankfurt Stadtwald (except for reserved quotas).
These are the four pairings of the quarter finals:
SSC Napoli - Arsenal FC
Villarreal CF - FC Valencia
SL Benfica - Eintracht Frankfurt
SK Slavia Praha - Chelsea FC
