Frankfurt Children's Office Christmas campaign goes into the next round

A nice Christmas tradition will be continued this year. For the 26th time now, the Frankfurt Children's Office is inviting people to grant a wish to children from socially disadvantaged families. Sylvia Weber, Head of the Department for Education, Real Estate and New Construction, has now given the starting signal for this year's edition of the campaign "Your Christmas present for Frankfurt children": "I am very pleased that the people of Frankfurt have been participating in this campaign for so many years. In this way, they are not only assuming social responsibility, but more importantly, they are making children's eyes light up," said Weber.

The Children's Office, in cooperation with social institutions, is looking for children who would like to fill out a wish list. The value of the gift is between 20 and 25 euros. This year, more than 5,000 children will again receive gifts through the campaign.

The wish lists have been hanging in various shops and Volksbank branches in Frankfurt since Monday, 22 November, for just under three weeks. An overview of where you can find the wish lists is available at https://kinderbuero-frankfurt.de/

until Thursday, 16. December, every citizen of Frankfurt can take a wish card from the tree, fulfill the wish and then hand in the corresponding gift either in shops where the cards are hanging or in the children's office.

Many companies also participate by having their employees fulfill the wishes. Trifels Verlag in Gräfstraße, home of Frankfurt-Tipp.de, is also taking part in this nice campaign, as in previous years. In time for Christmas, all gifts are collected by the children's office, missing ones are bought and distributed to the institutions shortly before Christmas. This way, every child receives his or her personal Christmas present.

"Together, let's make the children of this city happy. I would like to thank everyone involved and all the citizens of Frankfurt for joining in now," says Weber. We are happy to join in!
