The Corona pandemic continues to cause changes in our daily lives and the cancellation of popular events. For example, the Autumn Festival at the Palmengarten, scheduled for the last weekend in September, unfortunately cannot take place this year. That's a shame, but it's still well worth paying a visit to Frankfurt's green living room next week. Because not only that late summer and autumn give the palm garden a splendid play of colours. Also, the beautiful harvest show can also take place this year.
The focus will be dahlias, which offer visitors a brightly colored fireworks - deep red, bright pink, bright yellow, intense purple. At the Harvest Show at the Gallery at the Palm House from Wednesday, Sept. 23, through Sunday, Sept. 27, they play the starring role. Display boards tell visitors where these beauties come from, how to care for them and what insects fly on them. Simply wonderful!
Next to them, gardeners arrange asters, sunflowers, student flowers, grasses, vegetable plants, tubers and historic garden tools. During the harvest show, the Frankfurt city group of allotment gardeners will show what autumn brings to those who have sown, planted, watered and cared for their plot or even their balcony over the summer. If you want to have your soul caressed by an autumnal sea of colours, you should definitely plan a visit to the Palmengarten. For more info, visit: www.palmengarten.de
