(ffm) The Höchster Schlossfest 2019 once again offers a varied programme and, by choosing its castle festival partners, refers to the heritage of the district. „Both the knight Hostato and the help for disadvantaged people belong to the tradition of Höchst, and both are associated with venerable Höchst associations. These have their birthday this year and will therefore be celebrated at the castle festival as a castle festival partner: “The Verein für Geschichte und Altertumskunde and the Kolping Family Höchst are the "Gebordsdaachskinner", they live to be 125 and 150 years old“, explained Peter Feldmann, Lord Mayor and President of the Festival, at the presentation of the programme. „I would also like to congratulate two other birthday children: The porcelain museum in the Kronberger Haus turns a quarter of a century old and the Höchster Vereinsring turns 65. Fortunately, retirement is far from being thought of here, quite the contrary. Thank you for organizing events such as the Castle Festival and the Christmas Market!“
Jürgen Vormann, CEO of Infraserv Höchst and patron of the castle festival, joined in the thanks and added: “Among the 70 or so associations, the Verein für Geschichte und Altertumskunde and the Kolping Family in particular are a particularly good example of the breadth of civic involvement in Höchst. Both - the work for social cohesion and the commitment to understanding our history in all its facets - are essential for a good coexistence in our society. I am looking forward to celebrating with these two clubs at the Schlossfest 2019!“
