We don't really have much reason to laugh at the moment. But that's all set to change next weekend, when hr presents a full dose of comedy. And by "full dose" we also mean "full dose" 50 comedians, including Faisal Kawusi, Mirja Regensburg, Olaf Schubert, are to ensure that you can laugh through a whopping 24 hours. On Saturday, 5 December, at 4 p.m., the starting signal will be given for the first hr comedy marathon. Until Sunday, December 6, 4 p.m., the 50 comedians will share the stage almost every half hour.
You can see this long-distance comedy live in the ARD-Mediathek as well as on YouTube and Facebook. A part is also broadcast by hr-fernsehen. There, the hr-Comedy Marathon can be seen live from Saturday, 8.15 pm, continuously until Sunday, 12.30 pm. In addition, excerpts will be broadcast on hr1 and hr2-kultur.
"At the hr-Comedy Marathon, everyone can tune in who is in the mood for humor. And this at a time when many are losing their laughter," say the makers Stefan Leidner and Christian Maatje. "This way we can also offer many artists a stage on the net and on TV during the performance ban." All genres are involved: stand-up, music comedy, satire and cabaret. And they all have a common goal: good entertainment for everyone.
This is also supported by the two presenters Dennis and Benjamin Wolter: "So far, 2020 has been anything but funny. All the nicer that we can give everything again on the last meters to bring the people really fun. Therefore, our tip: Tune in, throw the remote control behind the living room cabinet and laugh through 24 hours!"
The Wolter twins, who will host the hr comedy marathon throughout, are known from the funk production "World Wide Living Room", which won the German Comedy Award for best comedy show in 2020. Their stay-awake tactic: "During the 24 hours of moderation, all of Hessischer Rundfunk's coffee supplies will be fed to us intravenously. Should we still nod off, there is a team that is allowed to slap us awake."
The hr comedy marathon will feature, among others:
Faisal Kawusi, Tobias Mann, Mundstuhl, Sarah Bosetti, Markus Krebs, Mirja Regensburg, Lars Reichow, Idil Baydar, Olaf Schubert, Tutty Tran, Tamika Campbell, Negah Amiri, Thorsten Bär, Welthits auf Hessisch, Nizar, Rolf Miller, Barbara Ruscher, and many more.v.m.
