It is a place full of history: the former Bethmann Museum Pavilion, built in 1816 as Villa Bethmann in the classicist style, which became famous for the famous marble sculpture "Ariadne on the Panther" as Frankfurt's first museum. Nowadays, most of Frankfurt's inhabitants have many fond memories of this building, which they still know as the "Odeon" club. For a few years now, this distinctive location has borne the name "Le Panther", with which the historical background is interpreted and staged in a modern way.
Many people have danced here or had themselves catered for. While that was possible here in some form for almost 160 years, there has now been a forced standstill for many months. But behind the neat facade of the house, a lot has happened in times of the pandemic. Le Panther has made the most of the very difficult time for the gastronomy and event industry. The former club in Frankfurt's city centre has been transformed into a new event location with urban style. The interior now inspires with high ceilings, rustic ceiling lamps and golden statement lamps in a playful palm tree shape as well as a long bar with a mirrored back wall. The new Le Panther thus brings the atmosphere of a private dinner club in New York to Frankfurt. Elegant marble tiles and floristic wall elements prove: The event location has an international character and scores with a modern elegance. The total of 700-800 square meters of event space is divided into three exclusive areas: the club and winter garden on the ground floor, the dinner location on the upper floor and the unique terrace surrounded by lush greenery. All areas can also be rented individually.
A real special feature are the illuminated displays on the upper floor. Any kind of design can be applied to them. Any style of any city can be imitated and the room can be given a view of New York's Central Park, for example. This special feature is also just perfect for corporate presentations and similar events.
For managing director Helga Lesegeld, despite the many drastic changes in the event industry in recent months, standing still has never been an option: "Due to the current situation, many events are gradually being moved digitally. However, we still see huge potential and relevance for exclusive events to continue offline. The "new normal" of the Covid-19 crisis has been established and the number of events will remain fewer in the future, yet this is also increasing the search for particularly exclusive venues and experiences." Continuing, Le Panther's general manager says that while the crisis naturally brings many downsides, it's important to use this time to evolve and break new ground: "We see the current circumstances as an opportunity to usher in a new era at Le Panther," she says."
Whether for private events such as birthdays, family celebrations, wedding parties, business or club events, the new Le Panther offers a premium event location for small and large events, of up to several 100 people, after the generous renovation. In particular, corporate events such as conferences, Christmas parties and presentations can be held at this stylish venue. In the stylish club ambience and the top location in Bethmannpark, cocktail parties, exhibitions & vernissages, concerts, cabaret & entertainment shows, readings, fashion shows & fashion events, press events and breakfast club(s) can also be staged.
This opened a whole new chapter in the eventful history of the house. Also as an event location, where of course the individual wishes of the guests are to be catered for, the classicist villa is sure to provide many more people with countless wonderful memories.
