Covid-19, better known to many as "Coronavirus", currently dominates the media. Although the course of the disease is harmless for the majority of those infected and many do not even notice that they are carrying the virus, the uncertainty in the population grows with every report. Not only are there regular hamster purchases, but also the cancellation or postponement of major events. This now also affects the Light + Building trade fair, which has been postponed until September. </Since Covid19 has now long since arrived in Europe, this made it necessary to reassess the situation in close cooperation with the Frankfurt Health Department. A multi-stage health check of trade fair visitors from China is required, which Messe Frankfurt can only implement at disproportionate expense. In addition, there are increasing travel restrictions that make it more difficult for both potential visitors and exhibitors to attend the fair. For this reason, the organiser has decided to postpone Light + Building. </New date: Light + Building Mid or end of September 2020 </strong>
Light + Building is the most important international meeting place for architects, industry, trade, commerce and planners. As an innovation forum and interdisciplinary marketplace, it is also a guarantee for business initiation, contacts and a sustainable future.
Parallel to the trade fair, the Luminale also takes place every two years. The Biennale for Light Art and Urban Design regularly attracts thousands of visitors with numerous illuminations in Frankfurt and Offenbach as well as accompanying events. <Nevertheless, the Luminale will take place as planned from 12 to 15 March. </strong>
