Never quite leave like this: The LADEN 100 closes

A city like Frankfurt thrives on change. Some of it is positive, some of it hurts a little. But every end is also the chance for a new beginning. Katrin Feller had that three years ago, after her multi-week project KUNST & KIOSK, a pop-up shop in an old kiosk on Oeder Weg, paved the path to a permanent location on Friedberger Landstraße. This is where Katrin Feller has been running LADEN 100 for the past three years, taking care of things that other people no longer wanted and giving them a new home. Whether pictures, postcards, furniture, lamps, vases - through skillful "upcycling" Katrin Feller makes something new out of old objects, with which one likes to beautify his apartment or simply everyday life.

In the former butcher's shop, which Katrin Feller shares with Martin Ehlers and his record shop "Memphis Records", there is a very friendly, neighbourly atmosphere. You feel welcome here and a pleasant wave of nostalgia washes over you as you browse. It's small shops like LADEN 100 that provide an important counterpoint to the mainstream chains and add an individual touch to the cityscape. And that is why it is always sad when such a shop has to close. And unfortunately, this now also affects the LADEN 100.

Still until September 1, Katrin Feller opens her shop every Wednesday to Saturday from 11 am to 7 pm. In the last weeks you can still buy small souvenirs here, but also larger pieces are still on sale. But whether you just want to buy one of the beautiful postcards with the stamped saying "Luckily I'm in Frankfurt", are thinking about buying an individual piece of furniture for your own four walls or want to embellish your walls with a very special piece of art, you should not miss a visit to LADEN 100 in the next few weeks.

Naturally, saying goodbye hurts a little. But Katrin Feller also looks positively into the future. Because the end of the shop on the Friedberger should not mean the final end. She wants to continue elsewhere and is already looking for a suitable location. And even if the very special flair of the shop on Friedberger and the combination with "Memphis Records" is lost, the successor to her LADEN 100 will certainly radiate that very special charm again, which made the location in the middle Nordend so special. We wish Katrin Feller the best of luck for the future and recommend that everyone who loves special shops in Frankfurt should take another look at LADEN 100.
