To contain the spread of the corona virus, the help of each of us is required. There are often small things that are already helpful: no shaking hands, sneezing in the crook of your arm, washing your hands regularly and avoiding large gatherings of people - if that can be done. Another measure is now being implemented by traffiQ, the local public transport company in Frankfurt.
Following the recommendation of the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund, Frankfurt's bus transport companies are instructed to keep the front door closed on scheduled buses. This measure, which will also be announced on the bus notices, will apply until further notice. Passengers may use the other doors for getting on and off the bus. This is to prevent a possible transmission of the virus between bus driver and passengers.
This measure also means that there will be no ticket sales on the buses. Passengers without a ticket are asked to pull tickets at existing ticket machines.
