Now it will be even easier for many visitors to visit the beautiful Palmengarten again. Because, to coincide with the start of the Hessian summer holidays, the Palmengarten will be accessible again from Monday, 6 July, through the entrance in Siesmayerstraße. In the past weeks since its reopening, this has only been possible via Palmengartenstraße. Now, however, there are again two entrances available to visitors.
However, there is still one small restriction here: the historical entrance mall in Siesmayerstraße cannot be used as an entrance and exit as usual, but only as an entrance. You can leave the Palmengarten via the turnstiles.
In addition, the following rules for protection against corona still apply: The show houses and exhibition galleries will remain closed and the popular Palmenexpress in the depot. Group formation is only permitted in accordance with the current regulations, in closed rooms a mouth and nose cover is required. The usual minimum distance of 1.5 metres to other visitors must be maintained; on the sunbathing area and the playground there is even a distance of five metres. Picnicking is still prohibited.
The water playground, like all other water playgrounds in the city, will remain out of operation for the time being. However, the city is checking whether they can be reopened during the summer holidays. The other playgrounds in the Palmengarten are open, as well as the miniature golf course and the boat rental at the big pond if the weather is good.
And there is some really good news for all lovers of live music events: From 1 to 30 August, the Palmengarten and its cooperation partners are organising a music season in a special format that covers all genres, from jazz to chamber opera to the "Summer in the City" series. Tickets are now available from Frankfurt Ticket. More detailed information will follow.
No ticket reservation is required to visit the Palmengarten. Tickets are only available at the entrance cash desks. The exchange campaign for holders of annual tickets in the Siesmayersaal/Eingangschauhaus has been extended until Friday, 10 July. After that, the exchange will take place at the box offices. Until further notice, holders of annual season tickets must also present their cards at the box offices.
