It has become a beautiful institution in the Christmas season: the MARKET SPECIAL GIFT, which invites visitors to browse, discover and buy applied art in the foyer of the Museum Angewandte Kunst. In this really special concept store around enjoyment and design you can buy products of the highest handicraft quality from small manufactories and handicraft enterprises from the region. This year, the influence of the HOUSE OF NORWAY exhibition can be clearly felt. In addition to preserves, coffee, honey, leather bags, porcelain, handmade wrapping paper, notebooks and bowls, there is also Norwegian reindeer and moose salami and aquavit as well as products by famous Norwegian designers such as furniture, lamps, home accessories and silver jewellery.
During the Advent weekends, a visit to the small market is particularly worthwhile, as the Emma Metzler restaurant in the museum foyer offers coffee, cake, wine and Norwegian aquavit from 12 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Delicious!
The SPECIAL GIFT MARKET can be visited from Saturday 30 November 2019 to Sunday 22 December 2019 during the following opening hours: Tuesdays to Sundays from 12 to 18, Wednesdays from 12 to 20.
