Top tips: The best photo hotspots

Mach Dir ein Bild von Frankfurt

Straight line in summer, when the sun shines from the bright blue sky onto the city or sets in rich colours in the evening, Frankfurt is perfect for unforgettable photos. Of course, there are a lot of motives in the city that are especially photographed by tourists, but also by Frankfurters. The euro sign in front of the former seat of the European Central Bank, the main railway station, the Goethehaus, the beautiful fountains of the city or of course the impressive skyline are photographed many thousands of times every day. We'll introduce you to some places from where you can see the city in front of your lens:

Old Bridge

Of course the Iron Bridge is the most popular motif among the bridges. Especially lovers like to photograph themselves next to the numerous castles of love. The Iron Bridge is also very popular with tourists. But for skyline motives the Alte Brücke is actually the better location. On one side there is a complete view of the skyscrapers, on the other side there is the also very photogenic East with EZB and Main Plaza. And the "Brickegickel"  and Karl the Great is also available!

Frankfurt's 185 meter high local mountain is a very popular excursion destination. No wonder, as from here one has a really breathtaking view to the city. Particularly good photo locations are the Lohrpark and the Lohrberger Hang.  And whoever is here, should definitely stop by the Lohrberg-Schänke or the MainÄppelHaus with its beautiful bistro and the farm shop. By the way, until 03 October you can always get to this beautiful excursion destination on the weekends of the Lohrbergbus .

Roman hill

Hardly a place in Frankfurt is photographed so often. Here countless tourist groups are guided through every day, making the Justitia fountain one of the most photographed motifs in the city.  Even if the Justitia is just in beauty cure, the Römerberg makes quite a lot as a photo location. From here it's only a few meters to the new old town, which is guaranteed to become Frankfurt's photo hot spots in the next few months.
