Ob art or junk, whether old treasure or new favorite piece - at numerous flea markets and bazaars you can regularly find a lot of exciting, useful and beautiful things. Strolling around a flea market and making some great discoveries in the process is a fixed weekend ritual for many. In Frankfurt, there are regularly small and large flea markets and bazaars, which are not only great places to browse. Selling can also be a real pleasure. It's nice when sorted out things find a new home somewhere and don't end up in the trash. And it's good for your wallet too! In this special we have put together a few very popular flea markets and bazaars in Frankfurt for you.

But please note: Due to the continuing corona restrictions, some flea markets and bazaars cannot yet take place or can only take place to a limited extent!

Several times a year there is the possibility for collectors and bargain hunters, for all film and music lovers to dig for old and new treasures. The record and CD and film/DVD exchange in the casino of the Jahrhunderthalle in Höchst is the perfect meeting place for all music and film fans, who have the opportunity to sell, exchange or buy CDs, records, rarities, rare imports, but also magazines and posters there. The video and DVD sector offers films for every taste. However, since there are not exactly G-rated films among them, access to this section of the exchange is only permitted to visitors aged 18 and over.

Several times a year, the Marche de Nuit invites design lovers to browse for exclusive treasures and to look for special unique pieces. Whether accessories, fashion, decoration, vintage or culinary delights: the individually selected exhibitors offer their treasures to all shopaholics and night owls at this special bazaar. A great offer in a unique atmosphere - you have to experience this.

In summer and winter alike, the flea market at HessenCenter is a real visitor magnet! The large parking deck is the perfect place for relaxed dawdling. The location is perfect, as the roof of the parking deck offers cool shade in summer and protection from snow (if there is any) and rain in winter. In addition, there are also many places on the open-air grounds. Everyone will find something there!

A somewhat different flea market can be found in the Bockenheim district. Here you can rent shelf space to sell your treasures. You pay a small shelf rent, the sales commission goes to 100% to you. Of course you can also just stroll through the generous shop area and then pay for your finds together at the cash desk - no matter if they come from different sellers. Comfortable, always surprising and completely independent of the weather - that's "Out of the basement"!

Regularly the flea market on the extensive parking lot at the Jahrhunderthalle attracts many visitors. The many parking spaces and good connections to public transport (bus, S-Bahn) invite you to stroll under the large chestnut trees and look for treasures. This market is always well stocked in any weather. Here is the place to meet - you know each other, have a chat and make your bargain.

Corona-Update: At the moment this flea market takes place every Thursday from 8 - 14 o'clock. Attention: Due to limited visitor capacity, there may be waiting times at the entrance. Visitors and stand operators must also register.

Frankfurt flea market

The best known and probably most popular flea market is the large flea market, which takes place every two weeks on the northern bank of the Main (Mainkai) between Eisernes Steg and Alter Brücke as well as on Osthafenplatz, along Lindleystraße. Whether junk, records, books, clothes, second-hand goods or handicrafts - here you will find everything a flea market fan's heart desires. The sale takes place between 9:00 and 14:00 hrs.

>Corona-Update: While the flea market on the banks of the Main still cannot take place, the market on Lindleystraße will be held fortnightly on a test basis from 4 July 2020 under special conditions. The market area is closed off, visitors and traders must register at the entrance on Lindleystraße at the level of Hugo-Stinnes-Straße in compliance with data protection regulations. There can only be a maximum of 250 people on the flea market area at any one time, so there may be waiting times at the entrance. On the entire area of the flea market there is also an obligation to wear a mouth and nose protector.
