Sissi + Franz Burgerrestaurant

You like high-quality burgers and are curious about interesting and unconventional creations?
Then Sissi + Franz is the place for you!

In the middle of Bockenheim and only a few hundred meters away from the university you can enjoy a delicious time out with a relaxed alpine feeling.
From the rustic-romantic interior made of noble spruce wood to the homemade, exquisite burger sauce: Quality is written large here.

For example, only the first-class Angus beef is used for the patties. But vegans and vegetarians also get their money's worth here: you can choose between a range of great burger creations based on polenta, bulgur, falafel or spinach patties - super tasty and healthy too!

Rounding out the culinary offerings are crisp salads, traditional dishes like "Kasspatzln", homemade lemonades and dreamy desserts.

So, on to Bockenheim for the imperial pleasure audience at Sissi + Franz!

Volksbühne

After 10 years, theatre director Michael Quast's Fliegende Volksbühne finally has a permanent venue. The new Volksbühne in the Grosser Hirschgraben, next to the Goethehaus and the upcoming Romanticism Museum, where Liesel Christ's Volkstheater was formerly located, offers audiences "comedic theater that doesn't want to underchallenge its audience, but always wants to entertain them in the best possible way."

The Horizon

The Horizon has opened on Rossmarkt in the heart of downtown Frankfurt. The restaurant and bar concept offers various dishes such as the Horizon salad, rump steak with fries, salmon and much more. From 6 pm it's happy hour for cocktails and long drinks.

Kiichi

The small sushi and Vietnamese restaurant Kiichi has opened in the Steinweg Passage. Japanese sushi, Vietnamese Pho noodle soup, grilled salmon steak with fresh vegetables, marinated beef with rice or the Kiichi platter for 2 - 3 people are on the versatile menu here.

Ahoy

TV chef Steffen Henssler has opened an offshoot of his Hamburg restaurant AHOI at Frankfurt's main train station, opposite platform 18/19. In sustainable packaging, travellers, commuters and other visitors to the main station are served fish sandwiches such as Smokey Elly (with fine smoked salmon, horseradish sauce and fresh dill), or Der goldene Kalle (with juicy baked fish, remoulade sauce and onion rings). But pastrami sandwich or fish'n'chips and shrimp'n'chips, sushi bowls, salad and fries are also on the menu here.

The noodlemaker

Traditional Chinese cuisine with a special extra has recently been served in the Europaviertel: Here you can watch chef Min Yang, a master of his craft, directly create the noodles. This is just as much an experience as the taste of the dishes, which include the hand-pulled Lanzhou Lamian noodles. Greatly coordinated spices and fresh ingredients ensure that not only the eyes but also the taste buds get their full money's worth here.

Café Doña Victoria

The service group WISAG is now presenting its own coffee brand Doña Victoria in a store in Sachsenhausen. In addition to various Doña Victoria coffee specialties, chai lattes, lemonade and smoothies can also be enjoyed at the Café. Sweet and savoury snacks - from cakes to sandwiches to muffins and donuts - can also be sampled in a pleasant atmosphere. And Doña Victoria coffee is of course also available here to take home.

Jaffa Market

Classic Israeli cuisine is now being served in Frankfurt's West End. Whether it's breakfast, lunch with colleagues or a cozy dinner with friends, your taste buds will truly be spoiled here. Whether the soup of the day, hummus with tahini, the falafel plate or hamshuka - it is simply extremely delicious and exciting to discover the many delicacies of this cuisine in the beautiful restaurant.

Eating at Maples

Sustainability is increasingly demanded when it comes to food. That's why the team at EATING AT MAPELS focuses on natural flavors made from seasonal ingredients from the region as much as possible. The store in Frankfurt's Bahnhofsviertel promises its customers modernly interpreted dishes, snacks and drinks that are freshly prepared in the store. Fast food, fresh, good and surprising - that's what you'll find now in Düsseldorfer Straße.

Café Ana

For many North Enders, it was sad news that Café Wacker in Middle Way closed its doors for good on Christmas Eve 2019 after 25 years. But there's no need to mourn, because longtime Wacker employee Ana Hrskanovic has taken over the Café and has kept almost everything the same at her Café Ana. There's been a bit of renovation and the menu has expanded a bit. But otherwise, the breath of the past 25 years still blows through the premises here. Simply beautiful and definitely recommended!

Dicke Butz

The "Dicke Butz" is not a new opening in the classic sense. That's because the restaurant, which started out as "Dicke Wutz," was based in the east end of the city for the past few years. Now the delicious BBQ cuisine has moved to Frankfurt's city center, directly on Kaiserstraße. That may have changed the atmosphere a bit, but not the offerings. Sandwiches, pulled beef, spare ribs, steaks, burgers or fish come off the grill onto the plate here. And there's refreshing craft beer to go with it - simply delicious!

Café Utopia

Next to the new Volkstheater and the Goethehaus, the Café Utopia has opened in the Grosser Hirschgraben. In a homely atmosphere you can get here from Monday to Saturday from 10 am delicious breakfast and "food for everyday needs". The design alone as a mixture of traditional Viennese Café houses, modern Parisian salon and retro-future hang out makes this location unique in Frankfurt. Cozy yet urban, with good coffee, delicious cake and local traditional cuisine - definitely worth a visit!
