Jim Avignon is the fastest painter far and wide. He makes music and creates spaces. His figures and scenarios are colorful and at first glance seem like easily consumable pop fare. At second glance, his supposedly naïve works reveal a preoccupation with globalization, capital, and the art market. With a painterly X-ray stroke, Avignon reveals the innermost parts of his figures. Their feelings, their thoughts, their desires, and how they try to cope with the constant flood of information. At the Museum of Communication, Jim Avignon performs in KUNST|RÄUME on the theme of CONTROL.
