The songwriter, musician and painter leads us into a whimsical cosmos all his own, populated by tired stones that would like to fall asleep for once, clocks that don't always want to think about time, talking insects, melancholy animals and other most peculiar creatures, who complain to each other of their misery, or to humans of the conditions to which they are subjected, like a candlewick which must be enlightened by Doreen that it is not a negro, as the light bulb claimed, but simply black. At the same time, the people are by no means the most rational beings, but at least as cranky and crazy as all the other characters, which Funny van Dannen describes in wonderfully weird dialogues between the teacher and her students, who, if they had really a lot of money, would put it into cystic fibrosis research, but would also hire assassins to liquidate Trump. And suddenly you realize the fantastical world is just part of the normal one as everyone knows it.
