Kids, how time flies. Wasn't it just spring Dippemess? It's actually that time again, the autumn Dippemess opens its doors, heralding the end of this year's folk festival season.

Twice a year, a particularly traditional funfair takes place on the fairground on Ratsweg, with origins dating back to the 12th century: Frankfurt's Dippemess. Originally conceived as a trade fair, the focus was shifted to amusement in the middle of the 19th century. Since then, the Frankfurt Dippemess has been one of the most popular public festivals in and around Hesse, attracting several hundred thousand visitors each year. In addition to many culinary stands, which of course offer specialties from Frankfurt, there are always the latest and craziest rides to marvel at the Dippemess. But of course the tradition, the "Dippemarkt" (pottery market) has only shrunk significantly and not completely disappeared and numerous stands still offer numerous "Dippche". In the fall, the focus of the Dippemess is traditionally on the quieter, family-oriented rides such as the chain carousels or car scooters. But even those looking for an adrenaline kick will definitely get their money's worth from the rich selection offered by the 112 merchants and showmen. Ghost train, break dancer, white water ride or Eclipse are already enough good reasons to pay a visit to the autumn Dippemess.

Who is not necessarily a friend of roller coasters and bumper cars and the loud music, the big fireworks on Sunday, 17.09., at 22.00 o'clock to the heart put, which is traditionally a feast for the eyes.

Visitors who come by car, the fun will pass quickly, because parking spaces are from experience Mangelwahre. Therefore, it is absolutely advisable to come by public transport, then the Dippemess makes all the more fun.
