Just finished with his studies, Wilhelm Grimm wants to save the old folk tales from oblivion. But listening to storytellers at a coffee party is something the professors from Marburg University and his older brother Jacob don't think much of - after all, it's all about science! Asking fairy tale characters himself is certainly not on his agenda. But by chance, Jacob, of all people, pricks himself on a magic spindle and unexpectedly lands in the fairy tale kingdom.
Suddenly he is standing there, far away from the grey mustiness of their Kassel bachelor pad, in a fantastic forest, in the midst of Rapunzel, the Frog King, the fisherwoman Ilsebil, the bad wolf and the primordial witch Tredecima, who are not exactly well-disposed towards the stranger. But a young, beautiful stranger from whose fairy tale the spindle came rescues him with true love's kiss. But not only does she follow him back into the real world, so does the evil sorceress, wreaking all sorts of magical havoc on the staid book world of the Grimms.
Together with Dortchen Wild and Marie Hassenpflug, the brothers embark on a fantastic and suspenseful adventure in which the two brothers repeatedly walk between worlds to save them from ruin. Text source and further information about this event: http://www.festspiele.hanau.de/ins/nr1/index.html
