Now, after quite a few sold-out shows across Europe, Fil Bo Riva is releasing their upcoming tour dates for 2019 -plus a new single, "Go Rilla", which gives a telling taste of their highly anticipated debut album. The dynamic, energetic indie-pop anthem "Go Rilla" won't leave any listener sitting still with its infectiously powerful guitars, contrived hookline and driving bridge. The idea for the song came to me back in Manchester when we were touring Europe with Joan As Police Woman in 2016. It was uncomfortably rainy outside. Just before the soundcheck I was in the bathroom of the "Gorrilla Club" where we played that night and was somehow quite captivated by a poster hanging on the wall there. As if under a spell, I took out my mobile phone and immediately sang the melody and the chorus of the song, which suddenly appeared out of nowhere in my head. Eventually, rediscovered (song) lines I had once jotted down after a dream completed the sketch and made it what it is now. Rome-born-and-raised Fil was drawn north to Dublin in his school days. Since 2012 he lives in his adopted home Berlin. His first EP "If You're Right, It's Alright" (2016) soon led Fil Bo Riva to collaborate with artists such as Matt Corby, Aurora, Milky Chance & Joan As Police Woman as support, conquering stages across Europe and playing one sold-out headline show after another across continents ever since. This includes three tours as well as numerous national and international festival gigs which are based on the EP songs and which are breathtakingly interpreted by the band every time. In the midst of all the concerts, festivals and impressions Fil Bo Riva's way always led back to Berlin to work on the debut together with his producer Robert Stephenson. The time up to this point was marked by the most diverse kaleidoscopic experiences and the constant confrontation with one's own priorities: On the one hand, in life in the fast lane - on tour, surrounded by constantly new impressions, cities, faces, the first autograph requests and hundreds, even thousands of fans singing along to his own songs. On the other hand in the studio, in total seclusion from the rest of the world, completely focused on getting the album further. Deeply absorbed, forgetting everything around them, alone with the music. An intense and fulfilling process, which gives the artist great joy and which gives the songs their final form step by step.
