House choreographer Guy Weizman and his partner Roni Haver devote their new work to one of the fundamental questions of human coexistence. Freedom, this often propagated high value, is extremely vulnerable, almost fleeting. Its counterpart is fear. And it is precisely this that is increasingly becoming the instrument of political strategies. We are often assailed - without realising it - by images that suggest our freedom is in danger. Fear spreads, and where it reigns, freedom is possibly already at an end before the emergency has actually occurred. But it is not only in the political context that we can be manipulated. Often we are simply exposed to ourselves and irrational fears can take hold in everyday life. What is it with you: Burglary, spiders, fear of heights? Not without humor, Guy Weizman and Roni Haver, together with the ensemble of tanzmainz, embark on a search for the core of a serious topic: the fear of losing one's freedom.
