What existence feels like when you question it.
In a world where nothing matters anymore, but which is constantly falling apart, Kind Kaputt's debut album "Decay" accurately describes the helplessness the younger generation is capable of feeling right now: underwhelmed, disillusioned and without guidance. God is dead, as is socialism; and capitalism has left us with only one thing: A boring life, decomposed by consumption and pressure to perform, which lacks exactly one thing: the feeling of coherence.
Oszillating between genre labels like alternative rock, post hardcore or emo-core, the band manages to formulate their very own version of this sound aesthetic. The music comes across as dark, heavy and devastating. Shattering bursts of despair, fragile melodies and apathetically spoken words merge to create a feeling and a sense of what existence feels like when questioned.
