For the last time, a US rock institution will be seen on stage in this country in June: Lynyrd Skynyrd! The Southern rock legend has therefore briefly titled their concert tour (currently documented on the CD "Live In Atlantic City", earMUSIC), which started already in mid-2018, "Farewell Tour". The band, internationally known as a first-class live act at the latest since their double album "One More From The Road", will play all their hits and classics during a good 90 minutes for their career finale: From "Sweet Home Alabama" to "What's Your Name", "Gimme Three Steps" or "Saturday Night Special" to the rock anthem "Free Bird".
The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame member, which has sold over 30 million records since its formation in Jacksonville in 1964, currently performs with the following lineup: Gary Rossington (guitar, vocals), Johnny Van Zant (vocals, harmonica), Rickey Medlocke (guitar, vocals), Mark "Sparky" Matejka (guitar, vocals), Peter Keys (keyboards, piano), Michael Cartellone (drums), Johnny Colt (bass) plus Dale Krantz Rossington and Carol Chase (background vocals). Together they will impressively prove why the renowned magazine "Rolling Stone" included Lynyrd Skynyrd in its list of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time".
