With the release of their debut album 'Core', the band around singer Scott Weiland had an instant breakthrough in 1992.
40 million records sold, multiple platinum awards and a Grammy later, this made them one of the most popular rock bands of the modern era. After five successful studio albums, Stone Temple Pilots announced their breakup in 2003 due to internal differences, only to reunite in 2008 and release their sixth album in 2010.
Following the tragic death of their frontman in 2015, Linkin Park voice Chester Bennington took over the mic for a short period of time until the band finally introduced a new lead singer in 2017 in the form of Jeff Gutt, who features on their March 2018 album, also simply titled 'Stone Temple Pilots' like its predecessor. The band will come to Germany for three exclusive headline shows in June 2019.
