Declan O'Donovan is a singer-songwriter and pianist from Whitehorse, Yukon influenced by the sounds of alternative, contemporary folk and roots music. Informed by adept piano playing, an evocative voice, and skillful songwriting, O’Donovan’s music is at times dark, consistently poignant, and often underscored with twists of wicked humour.

Currently Declan is in the process of recording his sophomore album 'Broken Sky' with revered French Canadian producer Jean Massicotte (Lhasa, Patrick Watson, Pierre Lapointe, Adam Cohen). With a release planned for late 2016, Declan plans to tour extensively throughout Canada and the US with plans to also visit Japan and Europe.

Through regular touring over the last three years, Declan has performed all over the world including major Canadian music festivals such as Roots and Blues Festival in Salmon Arm, BC; Canadian Music Week in Toronto, ON; and Breakout West in Calgary, AB which included a featured performance at the Western Canadian Music Awards Gala. Last year Declan had the honour of performing music from his 2012 release alongside the Corktown Chamber Orchestra in Toronto, he received a 2014 Maple Blues nomination for Best New Artist Of The Year, and was enlisted to write and perform the score for the short film ‘Enough To Get By’ from Fata Morgana Films, which went on to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival 2014. In 2015 Declan released his 2012 self-titled record with P-Vine Records in Japan and travelled to Tokyo in November to promote.
