101 new old town places

The Frankfurt Old Town - at the latest since the opening of the reconstructed "new old town", this part of our beautiful Main metropolis is more popular than ever with Frankfurtians and tourists alike. On numerous city tours you can learn many exciting details and stories about the new-old part of Frankfurt. But Frankfurt's old town has much more to offer. Bernd Buchterkirch and Julia Söhngen reveal what in the book "101 neue Altstadtorte", which of course also, but not only, focuses on the new old town.

So the two authors stroll with the readers over the Eisernen Steg, nibble delicious chocolates at Bitter & tender, browse through the Central Library, admire a graffiti at the Kleinmarkthalle or romp through the Minischirn. You can also learn a lot about the Römer and the Kaisersaal in this book, as well as about the Staufenmauer or the toilet facilities at Paulsplatz, which enjoys the reputation of being particularly clean. You see, this book is really very versatile. Just like the old town itself.

There are excursions into Frankfurt's city history, such as a trip to the Stadthaus am Markt, the Paulskirche or the Goethehaus. At the same time, the culinary versatility of the old town is also highlighted - from the legendary Fisch Franke, to the Japanese-French patisserie Iimori, to the traditional Kaffee Wacker.
